I picked this up in the recent Elle Magazine, there has been so much hype around this product so I couldn't resist. I've got to give it to them, Benefit do their advertising and press releases well. They create so much hype and get all the best names involved it is too tempting not to have a try of their newest products. I've not actually tried too much from Benefit however I did have high expectations, especially as it is retailing for £18.50.
I actually found the packaging to be quite cheap feeling. It is very plastic-y and it just doesn't feel how it looks. It does look, however, gorgeous! I love the design on the cap and the Goof Proof writing looks ace in pink and black. I think from pictures this looked as though it would be metallic feeling however it really is quite far from that.

As you can see it has a slanted shape, this is to help making applying the product as easy as possible. I think the design of the shape is actually really good. I find it a lot easier to apply than your average pencil shaped brow product. The colour in the pencil looks to be quite dark, however when swatched it actually comes out a lot paler than I expected. I think this is a good thing, as you don't want it to be too pigmented as that could leave to super dark brows, especially if you are heavy handed like me!

As you can see from the below images you can build up the colour really nicely. It did take a few strokes to get this colour however I would rather it be like this than black brows straight away. The formula itself is quite dry. It doesn't feel too waxy when applied to the brow however my brows feel like they have been set with wax after, does that make sense? (ha) I have also found it to be quite dry and crumbly, you definitely don't want to press too hard otherwise I can see it breaking off.

Overall I actually really like this product. I'm not sure I would spend £18.50 on it though, as I have other products for a fraction of the price that do just as good a job. If you are in the market for a new brow pencil, however, and you don't mind splashing out I would definitely give this a go.
You can pick it up here for $24.00 or here for £18.50.

I would love to know your thoughts!
