FASHION WISHLIST

Hiya, today I am going to be reviewing the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. I had been looking for a primer for ages when I finally decided to try this one. I have quite sensitive skin so I was reluctant to just try any, as my skin will react to anything and will break out heavily. I saw Melanie Murphy using a Smashbox primer, so I thought I would look into it.

It wasn't the cheapest product so I was really hoping this would work, and I wasn't disappointed. It is oil free and so far it hasn't caused my skin to breakout. It melts on to the skin really nicely, it is a silicone-y primer, so if you don't like those this won't be for you, and blends in really nicely covering your pores well. I will say you must leave your mouisturiser plenty of time to sink in, as if you don't and you apply this on top it creates those little roll-ey things (do you know what I mean??).

Foundation application is so lovely after you have used this, it doesn't sink into pores and it doesn't really cling to dry patches.

I would 100% agree with the idea that it increases the longevity of the foundation. I applied this, along with foundation, at 8 am on Saturday and then I had a full day of teaching dance, and my skin looked relatively untouched. It did wear away, however it wore away evenly and it wasn't too noticeable.

As you can see it is a matte gel, I can go a full day without having to touch up with powder when using this. There is a light variation of this product, so if you are like me and suffer from sensitive skin that could be for you, however this one works fine for me.

If you fancy trying this product you can find it here for £25.50 and you can find the rest of the range here.
